Sam Platt is a Brooklyn based engineer and producer.
Since graduating Northeastern University in 2014 with a degree in Music Industry concentrated in Recording and Business Administration, Platt has furthered his learning through earning an Advanced Professional Certificate in Music Production Using Pro Tools from Berklee, and has become a Pro Tools Certified User.
After relocating to New York in 2016, Sam has worked in both studios and live sound. He has toured internationally running both Monitors and Front of House, most notably with the actor and musician David Duchovny. When he is not on tour, Sam has worked in many New York venues, such as Webster Hall, and continues to work as the Senior Sound Engineer at the legendary Comedy Cellar.
Sam has run sessions at a variety of studios across the New York area, but is primarily focused on growing his own Brooklyn based studio. Having worked with musicians his whole life, Platt designed and built the studio with the struggling musician in mind, creating an ideal environment for tracking high quality demos and overdubs, without the high price. Sam also mixes and masters extensively out of this studio, working on projects such as full band studio sessions, post productions for live concerts and events, audio matching and sound design for film, and spoken word for film and podcasts.
